Ski Chalet

I am dreamily awaiting take off to Colorado for our ski trip this week!  In the meantime, I leave you with some wonderful alpine-inspired rooms to enjoy!

I love the beautiful carved design in the railings that make this home so special.
Sweet handpainted built-in bed with carved detail.

Must Read

While I was sick in bed all week, I managed to catch up on some reading.  This book by Steve Martin is fantastic!  Make sure and download this one on your kindle or buy it for your next trip.

Lacey Yeager appears on New York's art scene as a clever, funny young Sotheby's intern. With charm, ambition, and occasionally illegal tactics, she climbs the city's cultural ladder to success in the labyrinthine art world. Her knowledge of art and its collectors quickly grows alongside a list of men she enchants and inevitably destroys. Her rise to society's highest tiers parallels the soaring heights - and, at times, the dark lows - of the art world and the country from the early '90s through today.  - Los Angeles Times

"A bodacious, brainy, bountiful read and a bracing cautionary tale....The most charmingly rendered female schemer since Truman Capote's Holly Golightly." - Elle magazine

I can only imagine who this Lacey Yeager must look like (Kate Hudson or Anne Hathaway)...or who will play her part in the movie.  Let's hope they make this a movie!

Enjoy!

Design Books...coming soon!

I am very excited and looking forward to the launch of Charlotte Moss Decorates this March!  Having played a small part in executing these projects, I look forward to seeing them showcased.  The book includes projects such as the Kips Bay Show House as seen on the cover, and many more showhouses and homes across the country designed by Charlotte.  Like all of Charlotte's books, this one is sure to be both informative and full of glamour.

Axel Vervoordt is one of the finest collectors and designers from Belgium.  In many of his empty design spaces, a rough piece of furniture becomes like a contemporary piece of art in the way he places them around a room.  He seems to understand and manage the balance of proportion and harmony in every project.  I look forward to adding this to my collection.

The amazing British designer, Kelly Hoppen comes out with a fabulous book as well.  Here's hoping we see some pics of her friends the Beckam's house in it too!

There are so many books on French interiors, but this one makes me think there will be some super exclusive shots behind those doors!

Take a look inside many of the beautiful historic homes in Connecticut.
Go ahead and reserve your copy of each of these wonderful books by clicking on the image to order!
Your kindle will be jealous!
